So jazzed to announce my One-woman Solo Show at Fernwood Botanical Garden!

Click here to see WNIT interview about this exhibition.

I've always wanted to have a show here because my work is a perfect fit! As you know, I'm all about the healing power of nature. The work will be up for public viewing March 22nd through June 2nd, 2024. Excited that it will be on view during their big 60th anniversary celebration on June 1st. The reception is on Sunday, March 24th from 1:00 - 3:00 in the Clark Gallery.

Work included are paintings that are left from both the Fight or Flight series and the Water, Altitude, & Atmosphere series. I'll also be unveiling the first of a new series about dreams. This first painting is based on dreams of Fernwood.

MAAC in the Box!

My piece, Lunar Spring, was accepted into the MAAC (Michiana Annual Art Competition) Competition this year, which took place between May 19th and July 9th. Didn't win any award, but did score 41 votes from the public for favorite piece. People paid $1.00 for each vote and the proceeds were matched by the Judds and went to The Box Factory for the Arts.

Chicago Botanic Garden Art Festival

A budding artist/photographer took this photo at the art festival on 4th of July weekend. Photo credit goes out to her - W.L. Stanford. We had fabulous weather for this event and a record number of visitors. The garden encompasses 385 acres of pristine beauty and features lakes and fountains amid themed outdoor spaces.

Phoenix Show

October 16 - January 16, 2016

Benton Harbor, Michigan

So cool to see my Phoenix painting, "Flight of Rebirth" at the Phoenix in the Benton Harbor Arts District! Truly a wonderful place to exhibit my work on spacious walls in an energetic, lively atmosphere. Received many great compliments...especially about the Phoenix painting!

ArtPrize 7

September 24 - October 11, 2015

Fifth Third Warner, Norcross & Judd

Grand Rapids, Michigan

Exhibited for the second time this year and had a blast! This tiny 1-1/2" Silver Studded Blue butterfly was painted during my ongoing demos. I had a sign that read, "Be Right Back" and another that read, "Talk to Me!". Several times when I forgot to change these signs on my easel when I left my chair, people tried to talk to this little guy...LOL!!! It always brightened my day when this happened.

422,763 people voted at ArtPrize 7...no telling how many people actually attended. If you've never checked out

this event, you owe it to yourself to see it. Art is everywhere in every form you can imagine...sculptures on top of buildings and in the river, paintings and 3D art in banks, yogurt shops, major hotels...any business that wants to be

a venue, can be. Not to mention all of the great street musicians that perform throughout the city during this event!

Fight or Flight Solo Show

July 24, 2015

Buchanan Art Center

Buchanan, Michigan

A fun time was had by all! More people showed up for this event than for any other opening at the Buchanan Art Center!!! We had wine from Founders Wine Cellars in Baroda, MI; local craft beers from Tapistry Brewing in Bridgman, MI, fantastic entertainment by pianst, David Lahm from New York City (I sang a few songs with David), and scumptious appetizers. A big thank you to Beverly Bock, who acquired my large piece, Las Lunas, during the show.

Pecha Kucha Night

May 14, 2015

The Livery

Benton Harbor, Michigan

Pecha Kucha means "chit chat" in Japan, where is originated, to teach people how to make concise, effective, PowerPoint presentations on anything they are passionate about. Parameters for Pecha Kucha are 10 presenters, each showing 20 slides, on which the speaker cannot spend more than 20 seconds talking about each slide. My presentation was about the series, "Fight or Flight". It was a super fun night and a very educational experience for me.

This is my new friend and aspiring artist, Courtney Bondy, who met me at ArtPrize in Grand Rapids along with her mom, Laura. Love this little girl because she asked me a lot of questions and was so sweet. ArtPrize was a fantastic experience especially because I met wonderful people like Courtney and her mom!
